The third element of the Vital Resus Australia offers a comprehensive curriculum of community based programs like First Aid and more Advanced programs for Health professionals like ALS and BLS. Most programs feature Casualty Simulation for that ‘real-life’ aspect.

Our experienced instructors are responsible for training of not just healthcare staff; we continually train members of all industries (childcare, industrial, retail, mining, tourism to name a few) and members of the public.
We pride ourselves on providing not just theory in our courses but we also provide practical simulation to all participants, this ensures that course members not only understand the theoretical aspects of first aid, but they also reach a level of confidence and comfort in actually performing first aid practices.
Service Intervals, Legislation & Periodical Maintenance Schedules
Vital Resus Australia tests & services equipment either at 6 or 12 month intervals dependent on the use of the equipment and can ease the burden of managing services and meeting legislation with our benchmark Customer Asset Management System.
There are many regulations regarding the intervals between scheduled servicing, testing and maintenance of equipment. Often, monitoring these intervals can be a time consuming and sometimes expensive task. Furthermore, failing to meet these obligations may affect the ability to continue trading (accreditation).
Medical gas systems
High pressure regulators and patient flowmeters should be inspected 6 monthly and serviced annually and higher dependent on excessive use. Manufacturer recommendation.
Oxygen flow-meters
Annual testing and calibration is recommended annually and more frequently dependent on use. Manufacturer recommendation.
Biomedical Testing/calibrating
Recommended annual service, minimum period every three years to comply with healthcare accreditation – manufacturer recommendation
Beds, Lifters and other mechanical medical items
Annual service – Australian Standards (also includes electrical mechanical equipment)
